When Tom and George Fazio designed the Cypress Championship Golf Course in 1972, they really outdid themselves! This magnificent 18 hole championship layout can be described as challenging and dazzling!

Its lush, green fairways are lined with beautiful palm and cypress trees. The water that meanders throughout the course is sparkling and crystal clear. The greens are elevated, gently rolling and of course, true.

There are 5 sets of tees, which allow golfers of all abilities to choose the one that is right for his or her game. The Tournament Tees measure a challenging 6,808 yards, while the Forward Tees play from 5,214 yards. Regardless of which tees you play from, you will find the Cypress Course a wonderful golf experience.

To give you a flavor of the Cypress Course, let's look at three of our finer holes:

It is not often that a straight par 3 without water garners this much respect, but the 219 yard 6th hole commands full attention. A thicket of majestic Cypress and Oak trees surrounds this smallish green, leaving little very little room for error. Players often take an extra club to ensure carrying the two deep bunkers, which stand as sentinels at the front portion of this green. With the sun glistening through a furrow of mature, moss-covered trees, players can imagine Florida as it was 100 years ago.

The 8th hole, a 380 yard par 4, is one of the most beautiful holes on the Cypress Course and captures the essence of tropical golf in South Florida. The fairway of this short par 4 meanders along a pristine lake, dotted with majestic palm trees. The ideal tee shot defies the lake on the left and wooded OB on the right, leaving a short iron into this elevated green. The imposing lake forces many approach shots to end up in the cavernous bunker on the right. The green rolls true and will allow for good scoring for those who can control their irons.

Used as the finishing hole for many golf tournaments, the 9th shows Fazio at his best. It is a par 4 that plays to 414 yards. Despite the tree-lined out-of-bounds on the right, players ideally will steer their tee shots to the right portion of the fairway to ensure an easier approach. Players who drive left bring water and multiple palm trees into play. The approach to the 9th peninsula is wrought with potential danger, including water, hilly rough, and deep bunkers. Birdies and pars are well-earned here, on one of the Cypress' most picturesque holes.

The Cypress Golf Course will be one of your favorites for its beauty and challenging nature. It is truly a sight to behold!
